Project Gummi Bear RSS

Re-enacting famous scenes using genuine Gummi Bears.

No real bears were harmed during the making of this site.

All Gummi Bears were put out of their misery after their picture was taken. Mmmm, tasty.

Pictures taken with an iPhone 3G. Props are whatever I can find in my office.

Juno: As far as boyfriends go, Paulie Bleeker is totally boss. He is the cheese to my macaroni. And, I know that people are supposed to fall in love before they reproduce, but… I guess normalcy isn’t really our style.

Thanks to Susie for the idea!  Here’s the cover of the Juno soundtrack, to compare to the Gummi picture.
This was the first photo where I used an exacto-knift to perform Gummi surgery.  I had previously cut off Luke Gummiwalker’s hand with a pair of scissors, but the Juno scene needed greater precision.  A pregnant Juno McGummi was created by carving out the belly of one yellow Gummi and attaching it to the stomach of another yellow Gummi.  To achieve Paulie Bleekbear’s height difference over Juno, a red bear lost his feet, and another red bear lost his lower half.
